Carbonless Copy Paper

Carbonless copy paper (CCP) is a kind of coated paper, it usually consists of 3 layers of paper, able to transfer information from the top sheet onto the middle and bottom sheets.

NCR Paper Structure

The top sheet of carbonless copy paper is coated with ink microcapsules, while the middle and bottom sheets are coated with reactive clay.

When writing pressure is added on carbonless copy paper, the ink microcapsules react with the clay layer to display a permanent duplicating mark, mark content is the same as the top sheet.

As the finished roll has 3 layers, this thermal paper roll-cutting machine is equipped with 3 to unwind stands, each with a self-reliant tension controller.

During the working process, these 3 carbonless copy paper jumbo rolls are unrolled from 3 independent unwind stands respectively, after passing through the drive rollers and NIP rollers, they enter the slitting sector, and finally, the finished roll is formed on the rewinding shaft.

It could also be used to make thermal paper rolls, but its main application is for carbonless copy paper rolls.
