Carbon Fiber Prepreg
You know, CFRTP stands for continuous fiber-reinforced thermoplastic, this composite material is mainly made of continuous fiber, such continuous fiber has great performance.
For example, glass fiber, carbon fiber, or aramid fiber, prepreg fiberglass, thermoplastic prepreg, continuous fiberglass reinforced thermoplastic, UD tapes, UD prepreg tapes, CFRP tape, carbon fiber UD tapes. These fibers are furtherly impregnated in the thermoplastics matrix, such as polycarbonates.
CFRTP mainly has 2 formats, tape and sheet, both of these 2 types could be formed by thermoforming technology.
Continuous fiber-reinforced thermoplastic has good insulation, strong heat resistance, great corrosion resistance, and high mechanical strength, and it is easy to break after being stretched, with poor wear resistance.
